Britain's only venomous inshore fish - the Lesser Weever, caught by an angler at Aberdyfi. Spines on the dorsal and the gill-covers deliver the venom. The fish looks like a small whiting at first glance and anglers occasionally get stung, as do bathers who sometimes tread on them!
