The Plynlimon massif: Llyn Craig-y-Pistyll, now a source of drinking water but originally constructed
to trap the headwaters of Afon Leri to supply water via an intricate leat-system to the waterwheels
that drove pumps and other machinery at the many lead mines in the valleys beyond.
