July 3rd 2001 saw a flash-flood of Boscastle proportions surge down the rivers to the north of Dolgellau. On Afon Mawddach,
the flood peaked at about 10m above normal and wrapped remaining trees with debris - branches etc. Such is the case with
the tree in the centre of the image - stood on the debris-wrap about halfway up on the left is a mate of mine - he's 6ft/2m tall!
