On a sultry June 2006 evening, convection that had been reluctant to initiate during the afternoon suddenly fired up with
vigour. A clearing in the murk that often accompanies thundery summer weather revealed the source of the rumbling!
The storm is a Multicell cluster with mature anvils plus towering cumulus at various stages of development.
