Storm-surge! In Match 2008, a very deep low-pressure system crossed Wales, coinciding with the biggest
Spring tide of the year. Fortunately - very fortunately - the calm centre of the Low was all we had to deal with -
surge-tide levels like this with storm-force winds behind them would have done untold damage. But look
how high the water is on the Town Quay in the RHS of the image - it's only a foot or so below the top!
